Sometimes great games don't get the attention they deserve. While dull repetitive cookie cutter games by huge developers sell millions of copies these great but mostly unheard of gems languish in the outskirts of time and space: Just waiting for a gaming adventurer brave enough to grab a gamepad (or mouse) and discover their exotic gaming awesomeness. Guys Games and Beer is not brave, but they are drunk enough that they will try anything once. Join the Gutter Geeks as they sit at their favorite adventurer's pub and exchange tales of games and sights unseen by the mainstream gamer.
Video viewers sorry about the lighting -- We were indeed recording at the bar :)

Guys Games and Beer makes a big to-do about how all of the cast members are local to each other and spend a significant amount of time together outside of the podcast, so really there is no excuse for the Gutter Geeks to do an entire episode via Skype except that we they a bunch of amazingly lazy bums. Seriously. Everyone except Tom was within walking distance of each other at the time of recording. That said, solid episode anyway.
Join the Gutter Geeks as they talk about the games they always meant to get around to, a wee bit of E3 whining, XBox One's comeback from the dead, and what they have been playing.

A lot can go wrong when podcasting.... Sound problems creep up after recording, The camera maybe cuts out. Some stray music covers up some important talking points. Sometimes it's just that the Editor spent way too much time downing Jamison at the Whiskey Priest and passed out before being able to post the episode. This is one of those times.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled G2B episode for something way more interesting and informative! Poor Noobette’s weekly gameplay update is interrupted mid sentence when Glenn from the Boston Festival on Indie Games calls in to talk to the Gutter Geeks about BFIG and all things related to tabletop gaming. Sound quality is a little off since this is a call-in interview, but then again every episode of Guys Games and Beer is a little off in it’s own way, isn’t it?

Imagine a jet plane. The pilot jabs and pokes at controls while feverishly eye-balling gauges as they all pulse a sickly, glowing red. He pulls back on the yoke, his fingers clawing into the leather bound controls. He knows it is a futile gesture, yet he fights nonetheless. The great jet's engines smoke, sputter and flame as it spirals downward uncontrollably to an unavoidable and explosive end. Now, Imagine 2 trains... One laden with nitroglycerin and the other is loaded to the brim with 100 year old sweaty, dirty and highly unstable TNT. The 2 trains are headed at full bore at each other, both chugging grinding and groaning to a speedy and exceedingly violent end. At the very moment of impact the aforementioned plane crashes down into them causing an orgy of destruction. Metal and fuel spew everywhere, body parts strewn for miles and miles across the ruined, charred landscape. Imagine it... and you are imagining Guys Games and Beer Episode 72. A wreck so catastrophic it pushes the boundaries of imagination.... and good taste. Join the Gutter Geeks as they struggle to stay on topic as they talk about what they have played, how many bundles are too many, and whether Halo or Half life is the better game. Hang on to your hats... and your pants... It's Guys Games and Beer!
